At a rally in Hwidiem, some of the people in an interview with the Ghana News Agency expressed satisfaction with the good work done by the Government in the Asutifi South Constituency.

According to  them there was the need to vote massively for President Mahama and the MP, Alhaji Dauda, to replicate the development projects brought to the area.    Mr Solomon Adjei, a native of Kenyasi and a farmer and supplier of foodstuff said the NDC had provided them with a potable water, good road network and many school buildings for the teachers to teach and their children to study in a conducive environment.

 He said: “Almost every village in this district have a school building, health centres, teachers and nurses quarters around and the distribution of fertilizers to every farm community by the MP through Government.”

Mr Solomon said the good road network constructed by the Government was boosting business in the area in terms of lifting farm produce to market centres and to other areas which now protect them from profit losses.

Alhaji Baba Nuhu, businessman in Hwidiem said: “We the people of Asutifi South would not make a mistake to vote for anybody apart from President Mahama and Alhaji Dauda. We have seen what they have done for us as a district and we are going to pay them back with our votes by voting massively for them to continue their good work.”

He said Alhaji Dauda the people of Asutifi South knows Alhaji Dauda as “Ejuma Wura” and a personality of who does not discriminate as he gives opportunities to every individual or group in the constituency equal and fair.

 Madam Florence Tetteh, a market woman and a widow in the area said her commitment to maintain the two gentlemen in the seat of Government was 100 per cent, adding that, “The MP Alhaji Dauda connected my community to National Grade a which has been very helpful to me and my children in our survival in life.”

She said that her life had improved in the era of President Mahama as she received a long term credit facility with a minimal interest from the Micro and Small Loans Company to beef up her business which provides food for her  and her children as a widow.

Alhaji Dauda said the four years administration of President Mahama had done better than the NPP eight years of former President John Agyekum Kufuor administration in the area of job creation.

He said President Mahama is committed to invest GHC 13 billion in 184 projects to create three million jobs in all sectors of the nation's economy.  Alhaji Dauda said the NDC Government is aimed at promoting the welfare of Ghanaians through education, health, agriculture and Social interventions such as Youth Enterprises Support, Youth Employment Agency and LEAP.

He said President Mahama in his first time has fulfill the NDC manifesto promises to Ghanaians with the provision of basic amenities, social interventions and the maintenance of law and order to promote a peaceful environment for business to thrive.

Alhaji Dauda who is also the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development appealed to the electorate to maintain the President and him as MP in order to initiate more projects for the benefit of all.

Mr Solomon Nkansah, NDC National Communication Officer said the NDC Government had built and still building Regional and District hospitals, polyclinics, schools, construction of roads and other infrastructure development.

He said the physical infrastructure provided by President Mahama in his first  term would be replicated in the development of the human capital and resources in his second term which was job creation, business boosters and many opportunities for the youth in entrepreneurship.
